“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
Yoga has been a deeply meaningful part of my life for many years. I first became interested in the ancient teachings of this tradition in my early twenties, and since then, my approach to yoga has continuously evolved—shifting and growing with each passing day. Through this practice, I’ve discovered resilience, strength, and joy.
My teaching is shaped by everything I learn and experience in my own practice. For me, breath and movement are powerful pathways to presence, grounding, and a sense of freedom—and it’s this experience I hope to share with others.
There are many aspects of yoga that I value, but perhaps the most profound is learning to truly listen to my body and respond to its needs with compassion. Yoga has transformed my relationship with my physical body, my heart, and my mind. It has reshaped my way of being, my outlook on the world, and how I connect with others.

‘MANY LIGHTS MYANMAR’ DONATION BASED YOGA
We are a group of friends who are also yoga facilitators. We are from Myanmar or have spent many years living in Myanmar.
Myanmar rarely receives attention on the global stage. We came together as volunteers in February 2021 to create Many Lights Myanmar to honour the light people in Myanmar carry in their hearts during some of the country's darkest days and to raise funds to support locally-led community resilience. Many Lights Myanmar is sharing yoga classes by donation to:
1) shine a light on Myanmar
2) raise funds to support efforts by friends in Myanmar because people in Myanmar know best how to support their communities.
3) to practise in solidarity with a global community whose hearts are with friends in Myanmar.
‘Solidarity Knows No Borders’ Donation-based yoga
My online classes are free, but if you're able, I invite you to use them as an opportunity to support vulnerable communities—especially refugees and displaced people—who are facing increased hardship.
So far, we've raised over £3,000 for Help Refugees (supporting those in overcrowded camps during COVID-19) and Project MAMA, a Bristol-based charity offering perinatal support to refugee and asylum-seeking women. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed.
For upcoming classes, we’re fundraising for Migrants Organise, a charity empowering refugees and migrants to organise for dignity, justice, and meaningful participation in public life. So far we have raised £670.
If now is a tough time for you, please join without any pressure to donate.
